A little earlier this year I was at the Albuquerque BioPark, camera in hand, wandering around. As is only natural, the eye wandered about, and at the BioPark there is rather a lot for the eye to see. Lots and lots of things when it comes right down to it, for the entire place is an explosion of color and very beautiful things (the rose from the Desaturated Rose entry is from the same trip, in fact).
Anyway, this guy caught my attention and naturally I had to take his picture. The green in the background are a couple of leaves from a plant behind him, and lent a wonderful splash of color to the background. I loved the way the sunlight caught him and brought out his color and the entire shot simply composed itself for me.
Sometimes, nature puts herself on display and says “take my picture”. Who are we not to?
